                 Pastor Jacob

 

Pastor Jacob was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, where he has lived most of his life.
He received the greatest gift anyone will ever be given, salvation, at the age of 13 years old.
While he was working on his bachelor's at Spring Arbor University, he discovered one of his
greatest passions in life was having the blessed opportunity to teach and preach the Word of
God. After completing his bachelor’s, Pastor Jacob would end up getting his Master of Divinity
degree from Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity.
Pastor Jacob has been involved in several different ministries over the years. He served as
a pastor of teaching and outreach at New Life Christian Fellowship. He served for seven years
with the Flint and Detroit campuses of Adult & Teen Challenge Ministries where he had the joy
of being able to help those in recovery get closer to Jesus and in their battle for sobriety. He
taught for a year at Crossroads Christian Academy, a phenomenal Christian school located in
Panama City, Panama. Pastor Jacob was honored when the congregation of Bethel Assembly of
God voted him in as their senior pastor. He wants nothing more to serve God faithfully in leading
His (God’s) church in everything God has for them and getting the opportunity to love on the
people of Bethel in bringing them closer to Christ.
Pastor Jacob is an avid reader. His favorite author is C.S. Lewis (who he will read
anything by or about) but enjoys many other authors as well. He is also a lover of history,
particularly studying the eras of the American Revolution and Civil War. Though the good Lord
chose not to bless him with any athletic ability whatsoever, Pastor Jacob loves watching sports.
He bleeds Maize and Blue for his Michigan Wolverines (he loves you even if you have a
different fanbase) and is a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers. Most
importantly, he tries to love the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to
love his neighbors as himself.
